1) What first inspired you to start acting?
When I was young, I saw a local production of Jane Eyre, and I remember being mesmerized by how the actors could pull the audience into another world. That performance made me realize I wanted to create that same experience for others. Acting became a way for me to explore characters with emotional depth and to understand perspectives beyond my own.
2) How long have you been involved in theatre, and what past roles or productions are memorable for you?
I’ve been involved in theatre for about eight years now. Two roles that really stand out for me are Marianne in Constellations and Medea in Medea. Playing Marianne was both joyful and heartbreaking. Tracking her relationship across alternate universes pushed me to really refine emotional shifts and timing. And Medea was unforgettable for entirely different reasons: the raw intensity and complexity of her psyche forced me to dig deeper than I ever had before. Both roles challenged and shaped me in ways that continue to influence my work.
3) What drew you to audition for Gaslight, and what do you enjoy most about your character?
I was drawn to Gaslight because it’s such a psychological, atmospheric play. Bella Manningham is fascinating to portray: she’s fragile yet resilient, vulnerable yet perceptive. The challenge of capturing her gradual awakening is incredibly rewarding. She’s a character who demands emotional nuance, and that’s exactly the kind of role I’m most passionate about.
4) What have you enjoyed most about being part of the Ember Players Theatre Company?
The Ember Players have been wonderfully collaborative. There’s such a sense of trust within the group. I always feel supported when exploring new ideas or taking risks with a character. The environment is warm, creative, and genuinely dedicated to good storytelling. Being part of a team that values both professionalism and camaraderie has made this experience especially meaningful.
